Planning Guides

Don’t let a less-than-perfect weather forecast spoil your plans for a fun day at Silver Dollar City! You know what they say - every cloud has a silver lining; and a drizzly day at the park can actually be a wonderful time to explore shows, shops, restaurants and indoor attractions. Here are some great ways to turn the weather to your advantage and plan your perfect silver lining adventure.

Step into covered theaters to enjoy entertainment that changes with each festival! No matter when you’re here, you are bound to find incredible performances on the Gazebo Stage, Boatworks Theater, Dockside Theater, The Silver Dollar Saloon and more. Check out our festivals to find out who is playing during your visit!

Silver Dollar City is The Home of American Craftsmanship and there are always craftsmen demonstrating their skills throughout the park. Many demonstrations take place indoors. Stop by these locations to witness fine American craftsmanship in action and hear a story or two as well: Phoebe Snapp Taffy, Brown’s Candy Factory, Carrie's Candles, Hazel’s Blown Glass and Hillcreek Pottery.

Of course, eating at Silver Dollar City can always be a delicious adventure. Try any of the following eateries with indoor or covered seating and enjoy a mouthwatering meal or sweet snack: Eva & Delilah’s Bakery, Molly’s Mill, Hannah’s Ice Cream, Traveler’s Stop, Buckshot’s Skillet, Rivertown Smokehouse, Crossroads Pizza, Lumbercamp and Wagon Works Grill.

Explore scores of unique shops featuring handcrafted items, collectibles, apparel and so much more. Whether you’re searching for the perfect item for your home, a gift for a loved one, or just looking to leisurely browse, you’re sure to find unique items around every corner. Here are just a few favorites: Hospitality House, The General Store, Wilderness Road Blacksmith Shop, Two Sisters Jewelry, White River Bath & Body, Emmaline’s Dress Up Emporium, Lucky’s Toys, Clara Belle’s Cinnamon Bread, Ashley’s Nostalgia Tin Type Photography and Ozark Marketplace.

Plus, Silver Dollar City has two classic rides that are completely indoors! Don’t miss a family-friendly shooting competition through the Flooded Mine and escape the Baldknobbers on a wild ride through Fire-In-The-Hole.

If you find you’re in need of drizzly day accessories, umbrellas and ponchos for adults and kids can be found at The Hospitality House and Ozark Marketplace.
